Many people do not like modern smartphones, which are getting bigger every year. That’s why the iPhone SE presented 2 years ago met with a warm reception by Apple fans. No wonder everyone is waiting for its successor. Recent rumours indicate that the iPhone SE 2 will be presented in May this year.
It has been known for a long time that Apple, in addition to the successor of the iPhone X, will also present a small smartphone this year. Of course, we are talking about the successor of the iPhone SE, which was called the iPhone SE 2, but Apple can surprise us with its logic used in the naming of smartphones. The latest rumours come from the manufacturer of the case, which revealed the date of the presentation of an Apple smartphone with a small screen. In contrast to previous reports, we are dealing here with a significant change.
iPhone SE 2 will not be a smaller version of the iPhone X
This means that the successor of the iPhone SE will not be equipped with a face recognition system, i.e. Face ID. Apple decided to use the well-known fingerprint reader with Touch ID. In the middle, there will be the A10 Fusion processor, which debuted in 2016 with the release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. One of the accents indicating the modernity of the smartphone will be the lack of a 3.5 mm mini-jack connector. Perhaps the iPhone SE 2 will get wireless charging Qi and the glass back of the housing introduced in the iPhone 8.
Everything indicates that the successor of the iPhone SE will look almost the same as the model presented two years ago. It will only be equipped with better components. Perhaps Apple will change the design of the front of the smartphone a bit. This would allow to increase the screen diagonal without changing the external dimensions of the device.
