RTS fans do not have too much buoyancy from the positions available for mobile platforms. That’s why Electronics Arts decided to use the Command & Conquer series to reach fans of real-time strategy looking for a decent mobile game. Command & Conquer: Rivals may seem to be Clash Royale clone, but fans of classics should also find something for themselves.
By definition, mobile games are different from games intended for computers and consoles. They are distinguished not only by the diameter of the display and control mechanics, but also by the approach to the game. Nobody expects mobile players to find time for over one hour PvP match. That’s why the creators of Command & Conquer: Rivals had to think about not only the interface but also the gameplay mechanics. The new mobile RTS game is focused on PvP 1-on-1, which lasts from 2 to 5 minutes. Thanks to this, players will be able to reach Command & Conquer: Rivals during a short break at work or driving a tram. The whole game boils down to taking control of the rocket launcher. The victory ensures that the projectile is fired twice in the opponent’s base. However, to do this, first you need to get Tiberium and train the appropriate units. Below you will find a 10-minute recording that presents 2 short matches.
Command & Conquer: Rivals is now available as an early prealfa access version
The studio is interested in collecting feedback from players. That’s why, together with the announcement of Command & Conquer: Rivals, the game was released on prealfa test. To play it, you must have an Android device and an account registered in the US Google Play. The game will also be made available for Apple devices. However, the release date for iOS systems has not yet been announced. We do not know the date of the worldwide launch for Android. Those who wanted to cheat the system and installed the beta version of Command & Conquer: Rivals with APKMirror will be disappointed. After starting the game, they will get a 403 error. This way, EA limits the number of players participating in the tests. Thanks to this, EA minimizes the risk of technical problems related to server performance.
Those who are not interested in participating in the tests, are watching the gameplay available on the web.
There is also a recording available in the network, which in addition to the official trailer includes a presentation of the commanders available in the game.
