I have known that sooner or later we will see on the market this kind of device. Several years ago people, who were working on their laptops very long without access to any electricity source, had to buy secondary battery. In case of mobile phones, the situation was the same. In case of laptops, manufacturers have introduced a lot improvements in order to extend the battery life time. For an example, we have very power efficient components in our computers.

However, sometimes the declared 8 or even 10 hours of work on a single charging is not enough. Moreover, you can not buy the secondary battery, because it is integrated with your computer and sealed within the housing. Therefore, Asus has decided to introduced the power bank which is able to charge not only a smartphone and a tablet, but also every laptop with USB-C Port Delivery interface.

Asus ZenPower Max is a power bank with 26 800 mAh capacity.

To be honest, this is not the biggest advantage of this new power bank from Asus. We have already on the market devices with comparable capacity, e.g. Xiaomi 20 000 mAh. What is the difference between already available power banks and new Asus ZenPower Max? This new portable power source has three ports (2x USB 2.0 and 1x USB-C) and it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Asus claims that ZenPower Max is able to charge a laptop in 5.5 hours. The total output power (from all ports) is 60 W. A standard power bank with two USB ports is able to deliver up to 15 W to two devices in total.

Asus ZenPower Max is currently available only in Taiwan and it is priced at $158, i.e. about Rs. 10 600. Of course, you can buy much cheaper power bank with comparable capacity, but you will not able to charge your computer. Also, as you probably know, in some situations this kind of energy source may be priceless.
