I like Asus’s ultrabooks. Zenbook series provides great performance and these computers are called as MacKillers. I know that these ultrabooks are expensive, but they are worth the price. If you decide to buy of them you will get high quality, very light and fast mobile computer with long battery lifetime. The recently presented Zenbook 3 model upholds the tradition.

Asus has presented their newer ultrabook during the Computex trade shows in Taipei. They have shown also the rest of their new portfolio, but in my opinion the Zenbook 3 is the best product. I am not a fan of smartphones, monitors and other products from Asus. However, I think that they are the leader on the ultrabook computers market.

I have to admit that Asus Zenbook 3 shown MacBook where its place.

I do not claim that products from Apple are bad. My opinion is that Apple manufactures great computers, but their devices are too expensive. I know that for this price you get great operating system (with a lot of applications for free) and great support. But still, the price is prohibitive for many people.

The specification of Zenbook 3 ultrabook is amazing. These upcoming computers will have 12.5” touchable screen with Full HD resolution, 11.9 mm thickness, 910 g of weight, single USB Type-C port, aluminum housing, Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU, up to 16 GB of RAM and SSD hard drive with up to 1024 GB capacity. However, the specification is not everything. The Zenbook 3 has also a great design, this ultrabook looks elegant. The touchable screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The same solution is used in the top class flagship smartphones.

Asus promises 9 hours battery lifetime.

A lot of people will say that this result is not extraordinary. But you should remember, that Zenbook 3 is very small and light, so it is not possible to use high capacity battery. Very interesting is the fact, that it will be possible to charge the battery from 0% to 60% in 49 minutes.

Asus Zenbook 3 will be available later this year, but the exact release date is not known.

The basic version with Core i5 CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD will cost $999 (about Rs. 67 000). The most powerful version will be about two times more expensive, but it will have Core i7 CPU, 16 GB of RAM and 1024 GB SSD.
