The Indian mobile market is huge and we have another proof for this statement. Our country is the second (after China) which achieved the 1 billion mobile subscribers. It looks that the competition between 12 operators is very beneficial for us.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reports that the total number of mobile subscribers crossed the one billion at the end of October with 1 003.49 million result. It gets 0.69% of monthly growth in relation to 996.66 million of mobile subscribers at the end of September. These numbers looks very interesting, because the Swedish company, i.e. Ericsson, has published the report where they predict that we will reach 1.4 billion of users by 2020.

It is good that more and more people in India use mobile technologies. However, we should remember that most of us use GSM/EDGE services. However, it is predicted that 45% of us (i.e 620 million) will use 3G services by 2020. The number of 4G LTE users should reach 230 million during this time, i.e. 17% of the total number.
