Smartphone makers are competing in the use of better and better cameras. At the same time, we are observing the trend of adding more and more lenses. It seems that the Nokia 9 PureView will “compete” in this category. The main camera of the new flagship from HMD Global is going to have 5 lenses!
Old Lumia mobiles with Windows OS had their advantages. Their biggest problem was the unpopular operating system. However, these smartphones made up for this with long battery lifetime and good cameras, which were advertised under the PureView name. In turn, HMD Global (i.e. a company that produces Nokia smartphones with Android) does not intend to abandon the brand developed over the years. The first PureView camera will appear in the new flagship. Of course, it is the Nokia 9 PureView, which has a fairly characteristic hexagon with 7 elements on the back: a flash diode, a proximity sensor (to be used by autofocus) and 5 lenses. This is a rather unusual configuration, which is confirmed by leakages and encapsulation renders appearing in the network.
Nokia 9 PureView will appear at the beginning of next year
HMD Global has been working on Nokia with the PureView camera for a long time. However, the company had to delay the launch of the flagship due to software problems. Everything indicates that the Finns have already overcome all technical difficulties. Accessories manufacturers are already preparing for the launch of the new Nokia. Therefore, we suspect that Nokia 9 PureView will appear at the CES in LasVegas or MWC in Barcelona. Then we should also learn how these 5 lenses work.
Everything also indicates that the unique PureView camera will be the only reason to buy Nokia 9. The flagship is going to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, a 5.9 full HD screen with an 18: 9 aspect ratio and 4150 mAh battery.
