OnePlus smartphones are famous for their slogan “flagship killer”. This is very brave statement, because it suggests that OnePlus smartphones are much better than e.g. Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, Xiaomi Mi 5s and others. The true is that the invitation system has build a legend around this brand. The OnePlus 3 flagship mobile has sold very well, so the manufactured decided to prepare upgraded version of this phone, i.e. OnePlus 3T.
Both OnePlus’s smartphones, i.e. 3 and 3T, are very similar. However, the company could afford such a move, because they have already sold all manufactured OnePlus 3 pieces. Of course, you can still buy this smartphone in India, however it was discontinued from sale on other markets (e.g. in Europe and United States). New OnePlus 3T has faster processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 821), bigger battery (3 400 mAh instead of 3 000 mAh), better front camera (16 MP resolution instead of 8 MP) and optionally more of internal storage (128 GB version is available) than its predecessor, i.e. OnePlus 3. Rest of components is the same.
OnePlus 3T will be available in India starting on 2nd December.
This new smartphone is powered by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of box, however OnePlus 3T will receive the Nougat update also in December. You probably wonder if you should buy OnePlus 3 already still it is available, or to wait for new model with slightly better components. OnePlus 3T will be a little more expensive than OnePlus 3, the difference will be around 10% (in case of 64 GB variant) and 20% if you would like to have version with 128 GB of internal storage.
OnePlus 3T will be priced around Rs. 30 000. It is not known if OnePlus end sale of the OnePlus 3 in India after 2nd December or not. However, it is quite probably that OnePlus 3 will not be manufactured any longer and only OnePlus 3T model will be available on the market. The true is that this new flagship killer is also very popular and all pieces were sold out as pre-orders.
